Description The Gregoire Maret Signature G-48 Chromatic is a new high in workmanship and tone, from Suzuki. Designed for a powerful and intense sound, the three octave G-48 features: highly durable phosphor bronze reeds on a brass reed bed, the body is of ABS resin, weighted with brass, the covers are brass, plated in a high abrasion resistant blue plating. The mouthpiece has a flat profile, with round sound holes. When Suzuki embarked on making signature model harmonicas for Grgoire Maret, he stated “I want a Beautiful Dark Sound.” This was the seed that triggered the development of the Suzuki G48 and G48W chromatic harmonicas. Grgoire was constantly seeking this mysterious “Beautiful Dark Sound” throughout the development of the signature models. He proposed many ideas, including the materials to be used, the colours, the tolerance of the reeds and other intricate aspects of the harmonica.
